The English ECA Graduation Ceremony of the CISS 2020

On July 17th, 2020, the Canadian International School of Shenyang held the English ECA Graduation Ceremony! The students offered wonderful performances during the ceremony！

Madame Duan Yun A, the Executive Director，and Dr. Sabate, the vice-principal, gave a speech a summarizing the last four weeks of ECA.

During the last month, our teachers prepared courses that were impressive and unforgettable. In science, our students learned about the aerodynamics through making a paper aircraft, and they also learned about the knowledge of dynamics and Triangular structure through building a model bridge. In English, Mr. Steinberg used Bingo to make the learning of English words more interesting. Ms. Lorraine, whose patience will put all of us to shame, taught English through the use of magic. Her innovative ideas and dedication made our students enjoy her classes, and greatly advance in their learning of English. In PE, students enjoyed the fresh air and embraced nature with Mr. Paulo. Students also did yoga with Angela to help them concentrate, which is good for the growth of students. Other than that, our students went to Bird Island Park to explore more about birds and planted basil, chili and tomatoes in the experimental garden. How time flies! I hope you have good memories of the one month of studying during the ECA.

Today is the last day of the English ECA at CISS. Our students have made huge progress in English and science during the ECA! Congratulations to you all! After the closing ceremony speech, students offered wonderful performances!

There was also a violin solo with the title《Deep thought》performed by Awa

After, a hip-hop song was performed by brothers - Paco and Carlos

The next was the Chinese song《good night》performed by Korean student Selina

A Flute solo with the title《The butterfly lovers》was then performed by Lucy

A remarkable drum solo was then performed by Kevin that made everyone feel very excited.

A chorus with the title《Silent Night》was then performed by Amy and Cara

Lastly, Isabel performed the theme song of《Moana》-《How Far I’ll Go》

Learning through playing and making learning more interesting was the goal of our ECA. We will be incredibly glad if you have learned to love learning through our one month ECA.

In the two weeks that follow, we will begin learning about the Chinese language and literature, which will be as interesting as it always is. We hope that all of you can achieve more. and greatly enjoy the learning.
