CISS ECA- English Board Game

release time:2021-06-09 11:32:20 Hits:

This semester, I change my ECA into English board games, so I take our little tigers to start our exploration of English board games. I would like to thank Ms. Amanda for the inspiration in one of her lessons and Ms. Nayali for her helpful suggestions and support.

Our little tigers are in the golden age of brain development. It is the nature of children to play during this period. It is a good way of education to let children learn happily through games. Therefore, I decide to use board games to make the children have fun and improve their English, and exercise their thinking ability, communication ability, team spirit and strategic ability.

Monkey around

This board game can develop social-emotional skills, as well as expression ability. Little tigers draw cards separately and follow the little monkey on the card to do the action together. At that moment, we put aside our shyness and smile happily!

Haba's hungry bear

This game is also very suitable for 1-4 years old baby’s color and food cognition; the little tigers are scrambling to remember the corresponding words and to feed the bear!

Orchard Toys Bus Stop

As a board game of mathematical enlightenment. Children learn to count, add and subtract in the game. Adopt life scenarios to understand how numbers change during the game. Our little tigers all love the design of this game so much that they can't wait to shout it's my turn!

Orchard Toys shopping list

As a digital and financial intelligence enlightenment board game, our current game is to let students familiarize themselves with the words in the list, find out the things they want to buy, and put them into the shopping cart. Later we will unlock some more advanced game play. I would combine this game with the supermarket checkout game, where you select the items you want to buy, calculate and check out. Exercise children to add and subtract within ten and exercise financial intelligence enlightenment, let children perceive the function and role of money.

Number wind

This is a fun card game; little tigers show cards through a series of matchmaking. Consolidate the students' cognition of numbers within ten, and compare number sizes. The little tigers are not familiar with the rules at first, but they are happy to play once aware of the rules.

Chair stacking

This game can exercise children's spatial perception ability very well. Children around 2 years old will put chairs in rows, and children between 3 and 4 years old will try to stack them high. When little tigers find that the foundation is unstable and easy to fall down, they would work hard to build the foundation and think about how to stack the chairs high.

Rescue cheese and pull Radish Game

Goryeobaby's "Rescue Cheese" and "Pull Radish Game" are especially good for 2-year-olds' perception of size and color. Little tigers are attracted by the rich color, the size of the two holes is nearly the same, and soon little tigers get the advanced game play!

Fast finger career

This game can be a good way to consolidate children's career exploration in this semester, to find out the tools corresponding to each career, to find the same elements with their partners! Let's find the same ones!

The above are a few games we have played in this semester. In the future, we will unlock more interesting board games and more interesting ways to make the little tigers learn and grow up happily!
