CIS-Shenyang Hosts U.S. Consul General

The administrators and staff of the Canadian International School of Shenyang (CISS) were honored to host a visit from Mr. Gregory May, Consul General of the US as an expression of our appreciation for him supporting the growth of International Education in Shenyang and Liaoning Province for the children of foreign expats. 

As a follow-up to an introduction at the Shenyang American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) last month, there was great interest for our new international school. As the newest members to  the Expat Education Community we wanted the U.S. administrators to view the significant progress and  preparations we have made, to make this a first class International School to support the recruitment of expat families to the many joint ventures beginning to flourish here in Shenyang and Liaoning Province.

Mr. May as a member of the American community was familiarized with our programs and facilities for the August 2018-19 school year.He was also familiar with the operation of our organizations schools the Canadian International Schools of Beijing ,Hefei and Shenzhen.

Mr. May toured our school , engaged in a dialogue on the value of International Education to this community supported by local government and offered to share his update on our very well constructed and westernized facility and program offerings.  

The Canadian International School is positioned well to contribute to the options for parents challenged with selecting the best International Education opportunities for their children while living and working in Shenyang.

Board Chairman, Dr. Francis Pang, Executive Director Yuna Duan, and Principal Alan Norman all confirmed their commitment to the growth of this school in Shenyang and were honored by the visit of U.S. Consul General May.
