In the afternoon of May 18th, 2019, Canadian International School of Shenyang (CISS) hosted an “International Outdoor Exchange Event in 2019” with China EU Chamber of Commerce Shenyang Branch, American Chamber of Commerce, China-Britain Business Council, Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce and other foreign institutions in Shenyang. This is the third time for CISS to hold an international exchange event since its establishment, which has become a great event of international education and exchange in Liao-Shen Region. The event aims to enhance the communication between CISS and corporate executives, entrepreneurial elite and expats from countries.
Many distinguished guests came to the event, including president of EU Chamber of Commerce in China Shenyang Branch Harald Kumpfert, Executive Committee American Chamber of Commerce-Rochelle Matthias and Maddy, Chief-Representative of China-Britain Business Council Shenyang Office,-Chen Wenjuan, Vice-president of Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce-Guan Zhaowen, Director of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Overseas Chinese Liaison and Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPPCC-Zhao Dan, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong government's Liaoning Office-Guo An Qi.
In the beautiful CISS campus, Old and new friends came here drank a toast in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, enjoying BBQ and watching wonderful performances. Children and foreign teachers also carried out a variety of interactive activities, such as playing soccer, archery, and other games, they all spent a pleasant afternoon together.
The Canadian International School of Shenyang (CISS) was founded by the ministry of education of New Brunswick Provincial Government, Canada, in cooperation with AKD filling the gap of international education development in Liaoning province. CISS is a 15-year integrated school, which was established in May 2017 and began to enroll student formally at the beginning of 2018. CISS consists of senior middle school, junior middle school, primary school and kindergarten, which aims at the children of foreigners or with foreign cards, as well as those from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. CISS adopts an advanced Canadian curriculum system based on English and Power School system. The fundamental purpose is to cultivate well-developed high-quality international talents. Students’ daily education and teaching activities was carried out by foreign teachers with professional qualifications and its student status has been recognized by the Ministry of Education of New Brunswick, Canada. Students are eligible to take HSK Chinese Certification Examination. At the beginning of this year, the school's candidacy was certified by IB International Organization and was qualified for offering IB courses which is the only international school in Liaoning Province. The International Diploma Organization (IBO) is a renowned international educational organization and the IB courses include the Primary School Program (PYP), the Middle School Program (MYP), the Diploma Program (DP) or the Career-related Program (CP). Graduates who learned IB courses will have a better chance to enter world-class high-level universities.
