Bronze ritual vessels are a kind of ancient Chinese ritual vessels. Due to the strengthening of the ritual system, some sacrificial and banquet utensils have been given special meanings and become the embodiment of "rituals", which is the so-called "hiding rituals in utensils". Through the excavation of the little archaeologists at Canadian International School of Shenyang, the "real bodies" of the most famous ancient Chinese bronze wares are revealed! The phoenix pattern drinking vessel, the four sheep square vessel, the elephant vessel, the Great Yu Tripod, the Great Tripod of Western Zhou Dynasty, Simuwu Tripod, the bronze pot and the golden chime……
What the young archaeologists of CISS must challenge is the excavation of the Great Tripod of Western Zhou Dynasty. Come and take a look: the G1s hold steel hammers with smiles on their faces, and are not afraid of the difficulty of rock-cutting; the girls are just as excellent as their boy peers, delicate in appearance, G2 girls are not to be outdone, and finally unearthed the well-known golden chime. After a burst of heavy smoke passed, the elephant vessel, the phoenix pattern drinking vessel, and the bronze pot were unearthed in the hands of the G3 students. Four sheep square vessel and the Great Yu Tripod’s appearance should be attributed to the G4 archaeologists. They talked and laughed, clinked their hands, and finally made this major discovery. The finale was the lively and lovely G5 scientific expedition team members. What they discovered was the bronze ware of the country-Simuwu Tripod.
The students have successfully completed the archaeological excavation task, but how are these ritual objects classified? How did the ancients in China use them? Please stay tuned to the wonderful " Civilization in Cultural Relics " class at Canadian International School of Shenyang!
